Layers of Beauty Bundle: Colorful Card Design Inspiration

Last week I detailed one card design using the Layers of Beauty bundle with fall colors (August Blog Hop with Layers of Beauty Bundle). This week I have more examples to expand the uses of this bundle. This product is perfect for color exploration. You can creative a stunning piece with just two colors or expand the pallet to include complimentary or analogous colors that really bring your project to life.

This bundle includes three products: the stamp set, dies, and decorative masks. They can be used collectively to craft a stunning focal point or individually for creating elegant card fronts or scrapbook pages.

Below are several Christie Crafts projects using the Layers of Beauty bundle with various color combinations and techniques.

**TIP:** Ink your embossing folder to get a multi-tone textured effect. Here I used Crumb Cake ink with the Timber 3D Embossing folder.

**TIP:** Blue and yellow are almost opposite on the color wheel. These complimentary colors are always a winning duo!

**TIP:** Stamp lightly on patterned paper to create a textured background. Here I used Crumb Cake ink on Perennial Lavendar DSP.

**TIP:** Add flair with a non-standard card opening.

**TIP:** Never underestimate the power of monotone. The black and white image against a colored background is striking!

**TIP:** Use soft muted colors to create romance!

**TIP:** Use “scraps” from cardmaking to create scrapbook layouts like this picture frame.
