Labor Day weekend feels like the last breath of summer, a time to soak up the sun’s warmth before the season fades away. Families flock to the beach, setting up their umbrellas and enjoying the gentle ocean breeze one last time. Some lucky beach goers might witness a magical sight—the slow, determined journey of sea turtles making their way to the water.
With this in mind, I chose the Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle Stamp Set to create with this week’s projects. This intricate set includes a large sea turtle, a small sea turtle, a starfish, a sand dollar, a school of fish, and texture “bubble” images. With so many images to mix and match, what will you create?
This stamp set has a very cool feature that makes it unique. It’s Reversible! It includes specialized photopolymer stamps that allow you to stamp with both sides of the stamp for greater versatility (see video below).
Reversible Stamping Technique:
Ink the solid (smooth) side of the stamps first (stamp off for a lighter impression.) Then turn the stamps over and stamp the detail side on top of the solid print impression.
Below are my greeting card and scrapbook projects created using the Sea Turtle Stamp set. Each card features a unique design from vibrant underwater scenes to serene beach landscapes.

TIP: Use different colors for the solid and detail layers for interesting effect. (Lemon Lime Twist, Pretty Peacock)

TIP: Use stampin write markers to create a multi-color solid image. Then heat emboss black with the detail image.

I hope these projects have inspired you to create with the Sea Turtle stamps! If you have any questions about different techniques or ideas for using the products, feel free to contact me.
