Stampin’ Up! kits come with everything you need to create beautiful cards—coordinated supplies, a stamp set, ink, and easy-to-follow instructions. But one of the most fun parts is going off-script! You can take the kit pieces and use them to design your own unique creations. Mix and match the elements, layer things differently, or pair them with supplies you already have to create your own masterpieces. It’s a great way to stretch the kit and let your creativity shine!
TIP: Use a Water Painter and ink to color in the white areas of the designs—this simple technique transforms the card front and gives it a completely different look and feel from the original kit. It’s a fun way to customize and make each card truly your own!
TIP: Cut elements from the kit card fronts and layer over different colored cardstock. For added texture and dimension, emboss the background layer—this design features the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder for a beautifully subtle effect.
TIP: Use the stamps from the kit’s stamp set to add detail around the edges of a card base and create your own unique background. Layer it beneath one of the card fronts for added depth and gently distress the edges for extra texture. Finish it off with a simple sentiment—the stunning imagery on the card front speaks for itself!

Beautiful Blues Scrapbook Project
I fussy cut one of the kit card fronts and used it to frame a photo spot—cute, right? Then I grabbed the floral stamp from the kit and added a matching design to pull it all together.
