August Blog Hop with Layers of Beauty Bundle

The theme of this month’s Blog Hop is “fall frenzy.” My first thought was pumpkins and falling leaves, but I decided to focus on color instead. I’m using the Layers of Beauty Bundle with deep, rich fall colors Wild Wheat, Pumpkin Pie, and Cherry Cobbler. This bundle, ideal for experimenting with color combinations, includes three complementary products: the stamp set, dies, and decorative masks. They can be used collectively to craft a stunning focal point or individually for creating elegant card fronts. Each product can be used with multiple coloring tools. Choose your favorite color combination and get crafting!

LAYERS OF BEAUTY PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET
The stamp set features a card-front-sized floral arrangement, perfect for using different coloring tools and creating something unique. You can customize it even further with the additional stems and small flowers stamps. Finish off your craft with a heart-warming sentiment! Inspired by Million Sales Achiever Shelly Godby.

LAYERS OF BEAUTY DIES
This set of dies has so much potential. You can use the big floral die for a quick and cute paper piece or use the smaller florals and branches and arrange the flowers however you want. You can use the die cuts on patterned paper for fast crafting or try them on Basic White Cardstock and then experiment with different coloring techniques.

LAYERS OF BEAUTY DECORATIVE MASKS
This set includes 5 masks that are meant to be layered, one by one, to create a stunning image. The masks are numbered 1–5 so you know which layer comes next. There are also notches in the masks to help with perfect alignment. Mix and match the ink colors for fun crafting each time!

Coordinated craft bundles save you time and money! Buy the bundle and save 10% off the price of buying the stamps and tools separately.

Below are step-by-step instructions for creating a greeting card using the Layers of Beauty bundle in rich fall colors with a heartfelt “Grateful For You” sentiment that will bring a smile to any lucky recipient! And, come back next week for more Layered Beauty projects.

Supplies needed:
Layers of Beauty Bundle
White cardstock
Basic Beige cardstock
Wild Wheat cardstock
Optional Supplies:
Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder
Spotlight on Nature Dies
Dimensional adhesive
Embellishments – Earth Tone Shimmer Gems

  • Cut white card stock 9″ x 6″ and fold in half for an A6 size card (4.5″ x 6″)
  • Use the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks to color the stunning large floral image using color scheme: Mask 1 – Daffodil Delight, Mask 2 – Pumpkin Pie, Mask 3 – Cherry Cobbler, Mask 4 – Old Olive and Mask 5 – Mossy Meadow.
  • Below is a video demo of the coloring building process using just two colors. I stamped the image in memento black ink first, but adding the outline can be first or last or all together optional.

  • Use the large floral die to cut out the image.
  • Add a 4.375″ x 5.875″ Basic Beige embossed panel to the card front to add texture. The Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, available in the September – December 2024 mini-catalog, is used in the example, but any embossing folder would do, pick your favorite.
  • Cut an approximately 2.5-inch circle in Wild Wheat cardstock and a 1.5-inch circle in Basic Beige cardstock. The example uses the Spotlight on Nature circle dies.
  • Stamp the “Grateful for You” sentiment on the Basic Beige cardstock circle using Wild Wheat ink. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere over the Wild Wheat circle and adhere to the upper left of the card front over the embossed panel.
