Halloween Fun with Bee Builder Punch and Cheerful Daisies

The theme for September’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop is “Halloween Fun.” Initially, I lacked a plan for a project. I teetered between ideas before landing on this fun card design, which uses a mix of products.

When the Stampin’ Up! Bee Builder punch came out earlier this year, I knew I would make a pumpkin with the bee body (see the video below). I was just waiting for the perfect project.

Combining a pumpkin with floral images from the SU Cheerful Daisies set in Halloween colors (Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss and Daffodil Delight) and adding the friendly crow from the SU Potions & Spells bundle created the perfect Halloween greeting!

Making a Pumpkin with Bee Builder Punch

Step-By-Step Project How-To

Spatter white cardstock with black ink and emboss to add texture. My example uses the Stripes and Spatters 3D embossing folder.
Stamp images on white cardstock. 1. Solid daisies with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight with black centers. 2. Daisy outlines with Blackberry Bliss with black centers. 3. Leaves with Lemon Lime Twist. 4. Crow and sentiment with Memento black. Die cut or fussy cut all images and twigs from Crumb Cake cardstock.
Create a pumpkin using the Bee Builder Punch and leaves and stem from the Cheerful Daisies dies (see video above).
Arrange floral images and leaves on the card front using dimensionals to pop up the center daisy.
Affix the pumpkin, crow and sentiment with dimensionals. Voila!
