A couple of weeks ago, I shared a blog post featuring the Currently Loving Scrapbooking Workshop Kit from Stampin’ Up! If you missed it, be sure to check it out here: Take the Guesswork Out of Scrapbooking—Currently Loving Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.
This workshop kit coordinates with the Lovely Blossoms Suite Collection from the January Online Exclusives, and honestly…I thought I had completely missed out because I didn’t purchase the full suite when it first released. I have admired so many gorgeous cards created with the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper and the Lovely Arrangement Bundle. Thankfully, those products are still available, along with the Moody Palette Glossy Dots. So apparently my crafting FOMO was unnecessary after all!
After finishing my scrapbook layouts, I realized I still had some of the gorgeous DSP left over. And y’all…instead of letting it sit in my paper stash “for someday,” I decided to start creating with it right away. I’m so glad I did because these cards turned out to be some of my favorites I’ve ever made!
One thing I love about scrapbook workshop kits is how far they stretch your supplies. Not only do you create beautiful scrapbook layouts, but you can also use leftover papers, embellishments, and scraps to make coordinating cards and other projects. Honestly, some of the best creativity happens when you start using what you already have. These cards were the perfect reminder of that for me! Check out the cards below and let me know what you think!

Tutorial: This card came together beautifully using leftover DSP pieces from the Currently Loving Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. I started with a Basic White card base, then layered an Old Olive panel with a piece of the small floral DSP and a panel featuring the larger floral image. Using a duplicate piece of the large floral pattern, I fussy cut the flowers and layered them over the original image with dimensionals to add depth and interest. The “I’m here for you” sentiment from the Banner Sayings stamp set is stamped with Secret Sea ink on a tag created using the Three Banner Punch. A few iridescent embellishments scattered around the card give it a soft sparkle and complete the design beautifully!

Tutorial: For this card, I started with a Basic White card base layered with Secret Sea cardstock. I used the April Product of the Month, the Eyelet Blooms Die, to create the decorative detail in an Old Olive panel for added texture and interest. For the focal point, I fussy cut the large floral image from the DSP, carefully cutting around the portions of the design that extended beyond the main oval shape, then added it to the card front with dimensionals. The “Hello Friend” sentiment from the Sweet Bugs stamp set was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto a banner die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and layered over a Secret Sea shadow piece. To finish the card, I added a few coordinating embellishments for a soft sparkle and polished finishing touch!

Tutorial: For this card, I started with a Basic White card base layered with Crumb Cake cardstock and strips of the small floral DSP along the sides. The center panel is a piece of coordinating green patterned paper and a square of the larger floral print across the middle. The DSP square originally had Petal Pink background, but to better coordinate the colors, I used an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend to color over the Petal Pink areas. I then fussy cut the florals and layered them over the square with dimensionals, allowing them to slightly overhang at the top and bottom. The “Hello Friend” sentiment from the Sweet Bugs stamp set is stamped in Secret Sea ink onto a banner cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and layered over a Crumb Cake shadow piece the same shape. To finish the card, I scattered a few Drusy embellishments for just the right touch of sparkle!

Tutorial: For this card, I started with a Basic White card base layered with Secret Sea cardstock and a panel of the small floral DSP. For the floral elements, I fussy cut two coordinating floral images from the DSP one completely and the other just the left side and arranged them on opposite sides of the card for a balanced design. I popped portions of the florals on the left up with dimensionals to add depth and a softer, more organic look. The “Hello Friend” sentiment from the Sweet Bugs stamp set was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto a banner die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and layered over a Secret Sea shadow piece for contrast. To finish the card, I added a few Secret Sea Flat Pearls for a subtle touch of sparkle and shine!

Scrapbooking Workshop Update
I also wanted to share a fun update from Stampin’ Up! about the Scrapbooking Workshop Kits. Beginning with the July Online Exclusives, Stampin’ Up! is making the scrapbooking workshops even easier to use. You’ll no longer need separate cutting instructions because cutting lines will now be printed directly on the back of each paper, how easy is that?
They’ve also simplified the project labeling system. Instead of projects being numbered 1, 2, and 3, they’ll now be labeled A, B, and C, with pieces numbered sequentially within each project. For example, piece A1 would be the first piece used on Project A, followed by A2, and so on. It’s a much more intuitive system that will make assembling the projects simpler and more enjoyable. These updates are designed to help you spend less time sorting and more time creating, and I think scrapbookers are going to love the changes!
