It may be the middle of summer, but Christmas has officially arrived in my craft room! There’s just something magical about the first holiday stamping of the year, and the Woodland Wishes Stamp Set instantly stole my heart. These adorable woodland friends are stacked into the sweetest little Christmas tree, making them perfect for creating whimsical holiday cards.

One of my favorite parts of cardmaking is coloring, so naturally I couldn’t resist bringing these adorable woodland critters to life with warm browns, festive reds, and cheerful holiday accents using Stampin’ Blends and Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. But I also wanted to show just how versatile the Woodland Wishes Stamp Set can be. Two of my cards feature fully colored images matted in different styles, while another uses just a few touches of blue for a softer look. I even created one design by stamping the woodland scene twice, fussy cutting the animal stack, and layering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra depth and dimension. It’s amazing how one stamp set can create such different looks!

For something a little different, I challenged myself to make my very first triangle-shaped card, and I have to say…I’m hooked! It was surprisingly easy to create and makes such a fun display piece sitting on a mantel, shelf, or holiday table. If you’ve never tried a shaped card before, this is a great one to start with.

The possibilities don’t stop there, either.
