Welcome to the September Inkin’ Crew Blog Hop! Our theme is “Halloween Fun”, and that’s an easy one for me because Halloween has given me some of my favorite photos to scrapbook over the years. I love looking back at pictures of my friends and family dressed in all those cute, silly, and sometimes downright spooky costumes—from trick-or-treating and pumpkin patches to parties and all the fun little Halloween moments in between. Those are the memories that make me smile, and the Frightfully Fun Suite (168183) is absolutely perfect for getting them out of my camera roll and onto a scrapbook page!
I started with the Frightfully Fun Times 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheet (168215), and there is SO much to play with here! You get 12 sheets of double-sided DSP—two each of six designs—plus a coordinating sticker sheet. The papers are filled with playful Halloween favorites like black cats, ghosts, bats, spiderwebs, spooky trees, and more, all in fun Halloween colors.
And let’s talk about that sticker sheet! It makes adding those finishing touches to a scrapbook layout so easy. With spooky accents and sentiments in different styles and sizes, you can quickly build clusters, add a title, or tuck in a little extra Halloween detail without pulling out another stamp set or die.
Frightfully Fun Scrapbooking
For these scrapbook layouts, I really let the DSP do all the work. The patterns give you plenty of Halloween personality without overwhelming the photos—which is important to me because the memories are always the star of the page. I was inspired by the Frightfully Fun Times Scrapbooking Workshop Kit (168203) when designing these pages, mixing the busier Halloween prints with some of the simpler patterns and layering in a few of those coordinating stickers. It’s an easy way to bring everything together while still leaving plenty of room for photos of costumes, trick-or-treating, Halloween parties, pumpkin carving, or whatever Halloween fun your family gets into!

Frightfully Fun Card Making
Of course, I couldn’t stop with scrapbook pages! I pulled several of my favorite Frightfully Fun DSP (168168) patterns into my Halloween card designs and paired them with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder (168179). The swirling stars add such a fun bit of texture and movement—and while it’s perfect for Halloween, this is definitely an embossing folder I can see myself reaching for well beyond spooky season.
And then there are the Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots (168180). How CUTE are these?! You get 150 adhesive-backed pieces, including tiny bats and ghosts along with black and white dots. They’re such an easy finishing touch, and sometimes those little ghosts or bats are exactly what a card needs! You can see both the Swirls of Magic EF and those adorable little embellishments in action in the cards below!

Whether you’re documenting Halloween memories in a scrapbook or making a stack of spooky cards to send to friends and family, the Frightfully Fun Suite (168183) gives you so many fun ways to create. I especially love that the same collection can take me from a full 12″ x 12″ scrapbook layout to a handmade card without missing a beat.
And those Halloween photos sitting on your phone? Print them! Someday, the costumes, missing teeth, funny faces, and little traditions captured in those pictures will be the memories you’re especially glad you saved.
